Musicolor Method is a premium music education program, and our tuition reflects the quality of our teachers, our unique teaching methodology, and the personalized attention we give every student.
We're not trying to be the least expensive music school. Our goal is to provide an exceptional learning experience that builds confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of music.
If you're looking for the lowest-priced lessons, there are certainly other options. But if you're looking for an extraordinary start to your child's musical journey, we'd love to welcome you to the Musicolor Method family.
How Our Tuition Works
We begin with two trial lessons, ideally one week apart, to establish a good rapport between your child and the teacher. Our aim is to ensure that your child is making progress and enjoying the practice process. We guarantee that, provided your child is at least 4 years old and follows the 5-minute daily practice routine, they will be able to play at least one song during these two weeks.
Monthly tuition is a payment plan for annual tuition. It subdivides the annual into 10 equal payments (Sept.- June) making it easier and more convenient to budget for.

Yes, performance opportunities are included in every semester package. Based on the tuition details, each package of 32 private lessons comes with 2+ performance opportunities at no extra charge. These recitals are held twice a year at the PS 321 Lower School Auditorium in Park Slope.
Are books and learning materials included in the music lesson fees?
Yes, learning materials are included. The trial package of $185 already includes the registration and book fee, so new students do not need to purchase any additional materials separately when getting started.
